About Davis Tools

Davis Learning Strategies is a school program created by Sharon Pfeiffer, a California primary school teacher and reading specialist. In the early 1990’s, Sharon began to work with Ron Davis, after becoming intrigued with the transformation she saw in struggling students. At the time, the Davis center typically worked with children age 8. Sharon wondered whether the Davis tools could be modified and given to younger children, before they started to fall behind in school. Working with other teachers, Sharon designed and piloted this primary-level classroom program that has now been implemented succesfully in schools all over the world.
